Over 300,000 whales and dolphins become bycatch every single year and die of it. We are the cause of this. We are overfishing from our oceans, taking more than is replenishable for what we take the next day. The creatures of the ocean are dying because we are eating too many fish, and of bycatch.

We can help though, we can do this by buying from local fish sources. As commercial fishing boats cause the most damage. These boats use less nets and therefore cause less damage.

The people who are fishing could recycle their nets, or just throw them away. We could mend our nets or there could be boats to pick up these nets.
